Regular Meetings

  • 6:30 p.m.
  • 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, except for July and December (see below for further information)
  • Village Center
    2450 E Quincy Avenue

The following exceptions to regular meetings are: in July only one meeting is held on the third Tuesday of the month and in December only one meeting is held on the second Wednesday of the month.

Please Note: City Council meetings are occasionally cancelled. For more information about an upcoming City Council meeting or if you would like to confirm the date of a City Council meeting please email City Clerk Laura Gillespie or call 303-783-2732.

Agendas are typically posted the Friday before each regularly scheduled meeting. Minutes are available following approval.

Overview

Article III of the City of Cherry Hills Village Charter establishes the roles and duties of the City Council. The City Council consists of six members and the mayor. Each Council member represents one of the six districts of the City. The Council is empowered to "…enact and provide for the enforcement of all ordinances necessary to protect life, health and property; to declare, prevent and summarily abate and remove nuisances; to preserve and enforce good government, general welfare, order and security of the City and the inhabitants thereof; to provide for the granting of probation and the conditional suspension of sentences by the Municipal Court; and to delegate to boards and commissions…such functions, powers and authority as proper and advisable.”
