2. Plan review is required for Exterior Remodel projects which involve structural changes. Examples include, but are not limited to, the installation of new windows or resizing of existing windows, and the installation of exterior new doors or the resizing of existing exterior doors. Replacement of stucco and other types of siding and like-for-like replacement of windows and doors requires a building permit, but does not require plan review. The addition of new square footage of a home is considered to be either a Minor Addition (if less than 50% of existing square footage) or a Major Addition (if 50% or greater). Call the Community Development Department at 303-783-2721 if you are unsure which category your project falls into.
4. Applying Online

   To apply for this type of permit, you will need to provide the following items:

   1. Completed General Permit Application
   2. Stamped structural plans, as applicable
   3. Architectural plans
   4. Floor plans and/or other necessary plans or specifications to demonstrate Building Code compliance
   5. Proof of sewer permit or sewer release form, if there is an upgrade in water tap size or any sewer line work associated with the permit
   6. Approval from Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for removal of materials if over trigger level(s)

   A plan review fee of $340 is required for an Exterior Remodel which is structural in nature. Payment is accepted via Xpress Bill Pay. Once your payment has been processed, enter your name and the Transaction Number of your payment in the fields below.
