Short Term Rental

The City of Cherry Hills Village prohibits short-term rental of single family residences for periods less than 90 consecutive days.

If you have operated a single family residence within the City as a short-term rental prior to August 6, 2012 and believe you are entitled to continue the operation of such use, please be advised that you must apply for certification of the property with the City no later than April 9, 2015. Failure to seek and obtain certification shall result in a forfeiture of the right to continue using your property as a short-term rental.

Applications for certification must include the following:

  • Proof of ownership.
  • Documentation demonstrating that legal short-term rentals were conducted prior to August 6, 2012 and continued on an annual basis.
  • Evidence that investments were made to the property related to the short-term rental.
