Quincy Farm Visioning Committee

In 2007 long-time Cherry Hills Village resident Catherine Anderson conveyed the Anderson property to the City subject to a conservation easement with Colorado Open Lands and a reserved life estate.  Ms. Anderson’s extraordinary gift will provide the City with an incredible new park called Quincy Farm comprised of approximately 17.5 acres of land situated on both sides of the Highline Canal immediately south of East Quincy Avenue. The area includes original buildings such as three houses and three barns. While Ms. Anderson is thankfully still a vibrant part of our community, the City would like to begin planning for the future of Quincy Farm so that we are ready to fulfill our commitment when the time comes.  To tackle this planning, the City Council has approved a subcommittee of the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission named the "Quincy Farm Visioning Committee.”
This committee will:
• analyze the agreements and documents concerning Quincy Farm and the gift thereof to the City (including the recorded Conservation Easement and other controlling documents);
• review the current utilization of the Quincy Farm;
• investigate allowed future uses of the Quincy Farm and potential programs;
• research the costs and financing of required improvements, maintenance and operation.
The Committee will carry out these duties with sensitivity to the vision set forth in the Village’s Master Plan, the needs of the overall parks and trails system, and the health, safety, and general welfare of the city’s residents.
