Department Information

Our Mission

The members of the Cherry Hills Village Police Department will promote strong community partnerships while providing courteous, professional, and ethical police services.

Occasionally, the police department's response to a request for assistance from a Cherry Hills Village resident is unnecessarily delayed as a result of the citizen calling an inappropriate telephone number. When needing police aid, please use the most suitable telephone number from the following:

  • 911 Emergency dispatch: Use this number to report crimes in progress as well as fire and medical emergencies.
  • 303-795-4711 Non-emergency dispatch: Use this number to notify the police department of a crime or incident of a non-emergency nature to which a police officer, code enforcement officer, or animal control officer response is requested. This is the direct number to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Communications Center. The Sheriff's office provides dispatching services for our police department and the residents of Cherry Hills Village.
  • 303-761-8711 Police department business office: Use this number to reach the business office and administration personnel of the Cherry Hills Village Police Department. This number is also used to request house watches and obtain general information from the police department. The business office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Cherry Hills Village Police Department is located in the Joint Public Safety Facility at 2460 East Quincy Avenue, on the Southeast corner of East Quincy Avenue and South University Boulevard (across from the Cherry Hills Village Elementary School).

If you are at the Village Center building and need assistance after hours, please use the phone located outside the police department door. This phone will automatically connect you to the non-emergency dispatch number at the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center.
